living lanDscapes SERIES

My living landscapes series takes one into a different world, familiar yet unknown. Magical and mysterious and highly textured. I use a dropped dotted method of a thinned acrylic paint over a painted background image. This is very time consuming and great patience is needed as well as a perfect viscous mixture. I also use gel mediums and dry pigments with interference and metallic colors in many. I love how the metallics bring in light and how the interferance colors allow sheerness as well as some duo chrome pigments I use affect the colors while walking past a work or as the lighting in the room changes throughout the day. For this is the reason why I call them living landscapes, the works come alive!
